Good Reads
I borrowed a copy of
Don Millers book, "Blue Like Jazz : Non Religious Thoughts on Christian Spirituality" and i quite liked it. I was a little surprised by this considering i haven't cared for a few of the Christian lit i have read. I suppose my literary tastes have matured just a little bit from the childhood Janette Oak series, oh, and need I mention Josh Harris' books (but that distaste was for different reasons). It was refreshing not to read a religious guilt-trip, christianity watered down, or a 3-step program how to keep on the straight and narrow. Don was surprisingly down-to-earth and real about his faith, doubts, struggles and triumphs. The pages are full of short stories he pulled from his own experiences, deffinitely thought- provoking yet higlighted with humor. I am by no means a lit. critic, maybe i just read it at the right time. But if you get the chance i'd recommend it. I may even read it again later on. However, i'm onto Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice," so far i'm liking this one too. . .

Planes, Trains 'n Automobiles...
Due to the upcoming Strampel-VanderVies wedding and my promise to attend, i have purchased my AC ticket and am due to arrive @ Pearson Int'l 14 Oct 2005, approx. 1.30pm. I am STOKED! To make the purchase a little more productive i'll be staying for 6 days. I can't believe i'll be 5 months since my move but i am really looking forward to seeing friends and family! I'll hopefully be able to spend some time in Hamilton as well as Sarnia but the itinerary is yet to be determined. My departure date is set for the 20 Oct. 2005 early, early @ 6am.
Hope to see y'all then!
