May 2-4
What an AWESOME weekend!! i flew out from Toronto, waving goodbye to Brian and Jenn, at 6pm on May 21st. The 5 hour fight really flew bye even without a television on board. I entertained myself by taking many pictures of the different cloud formations, and chatting with the friendly gentleman beside me. By the time we got over the Rockies, there was thick fog and i couldn't see anything outside of my window. (sorry Jenn, i was really looking forward to getting you a good picture.)
Kristie was at the airport when i arrived and i could see her through the window. i was the first one into the airport, dropping my carry-ons in the process, but it was a good reunion. After we managed to fit all my lugguge into her car without getting too wet from the rain, we headed over to a restuarant to meet a couple of 'Kristie's friends'. No one had arrived yet so we sat down to do some catching up. 5 minutes later Daniel and Jason came up from behind me almost giving me a heartattack. The waiters knew the 'friends' had arrived from my scream...
The 4 of us went to church with Kristie Sunday morning and then out for lunch. We spent Sunday afternoon walking along the seawall at Stanley Park and headed over to Gastown. Once back in Abbotsford, we discovered that finding a place just to relax and have a pint is considerably challenging. Abbotsford is a very small 'Bible town' and conseqently last-call is at midnight...
Monday afternoon we drove back to Vancouver, this time taking the Skytrain into town and the Seabus across to Northvan. There was a very touristy Market we checked out then took the Seabus back. For dinner we went to the Old Spaghetti Factory which was a great venue.
Later on, Dan and Mel (friend from Calgary) went to see the 3rd Starwars Episode. Jason and I opted to sit at a nearby Starbucks enjoying caffeine and the people-watching location. We ended the long weekend at a casual club, dancing the night away...
The boys headed back to Calgary on Tuesday afternoon. I was now able to get some much needed unpacking/organizing/ cleaning in the apt accomplished. The place is coming together and is feeling more like home everyday. Kristie took me for a short tour of Abbotsford yesterday and i saw some great views of the surrounding mountains. It is really quite amazing! Hopefully i will be able to post some pictures once my internet is up and running...
Cheers!!

I've been tagged by Stephen
Here are the rules, in a nutshell: I pick 5 occupations out of the list below and post my answers. Then I tag 3 other people to post their answers on their blog. If I tag you, and you don't want to be a part of this, I'll try not to think any less of you. Just let me know and I'll tag someone else.
The "questions": If I could be a scientist...If I could be a farmer...If I could be a musician...If I could be a doctor...If I could be a painter...If I could be a gardener...If I could be a missionary...If I could be a chef...If I could be an architect...If I could be a linguist...If I could be a psychologist...If I could be a librarian...If I could be an athlete...If I could be a lawyer...If I could be an inn-keeper...If I could be a professor...If I could be a writer...If I could be a llama-rider...If I could be a bonnie pirate...If I could be an astronaut...If I could be a world famous blogger...If I could be a justice on any one court in the world...If I could be married to any current famous political figure...
If i could be a farmer... i would grow a lot of exotic fruits and care for them tenderly without chemicals, and they would be the best exotic fruits you could find in the country.
If I could be a doctor... i would work in the ER.
If I could be a lawyer... well the probability of me winning your case would be pretty slim. a lot of innocent people would end up in jail. consequently, the guilty would frolic freely in the world. bad news...
If I could be a writer... i would write pop-up books for children. i would also do the illustrations.
If I could be a bonnie pirate... i would be the longest-lasting legacy on the sea. i would wear a patch even if i didn't need one, but have a monkey instead of a parrot. stories of my cruelty and wealth would spread around the world through many generations.
I tag:
Stephanie,
Dayna and
Jenn

hurray for ER's
i spent 2 hours in the ER tonight due to the fact that i haven't been able to eat or drink anything in the last 4 days without experiencing sharp pains in my chest. turns out the antibiotics i was on (from having the wisdom teeth pulled) created abrasions in my esophagus. needless to say, i am no longer taking those meds. i am relieved that it was nothing too serious (by that i mean i am not dying, but food still gives me great pains) and i should be healed up before i leave the province.
my mother and i returned home intime to watch ER. goodtimes.
