Spontaneity
(this post is for Melmo.. )
last saturday i enjoyed a rather spontaneous evening.
i came home from work to find mel and matt watching Moulin Rouge, so i caught the end with them (only the 3rd time i'd seen it that week). consequently the phrase of the night became "...like a virgin!!" humourous. since it was such a nice nite and we had way to much energy we played a bit of frisbee out on the street, the only rule being that we could only hit red vehicles (i'm not really sure why.) despite all our energy, being out of shape got the best of us and after an hour we were breathless. after everyone had had enough to drink the water fight began... i'm not really sure who started it, or why, but we all ended up wet. mel and i teamed up (girls stick together remember) against matt and hid in the shed waiting for him to come find us. only he gave up rather quickly and we got bored of waiting. the 2 of us then went back field in search of firewood! in only a half hour and a couple run- ins with the neighbourhoods 14-year-old boys (who were sure we had weed for them) we returned successfull. with the wood we collected and even more gasoline, we had a blazing fire in true girl-guide style. once we were all sufficiently dry and again bored of poking the fire (i think we had the attention span of 3-year-olds) we returned indoors for some nachos, courtesy of my wonderful mother. after the nachos we had a craving for DQ so away we went. I highly recommend the CookieDough/Oreo Blizzard mmmm. The icecream was tasty but also a downer and we were content to finish off the evening watching J-Lo movies (The Wedding Planner and Maid in Manhattan)
Let the goodtimes roll....
