Talk about humble abode...

Upon my arrival home from work this evening, i was delighted to receive a collect-call from my favorite younger sibling, Dan. Heh, what a funny kid. He has recently moved into a new residence along with my older brother, Jason. From his description it seems like a nice enough place, despite the lack of furniture (considering there is only a table and a couple foamies). But they are excited to be free from my crazy aunt and uncle with whom they have shared a residence with for the past 3 years, give-or-take. I'm sure it will be a good change despite the absence of earthly possessions. They do have some luxuries, including but not limited to, cooking accessories and utensils (a nice homey touch, i think). Nevertheless, a big Congratulation goes out to the both of them from their loving sister!!

On an entirely different note, i have this coming weekend off and am anxiously anticipating a much needed trip to the Hamilton area. With plans of snowboarding and beer drinking i can tell that tomorrow is going to pass painfully slow. But i suppose anticipation is half of the fun... er something like that. I will be arriving late Saturday morning/early aft, and joining Brian and possibly other lovely people for a day of riding at Glen Eden. It will be my first ride of the season, and I'm sure my neglected board will love the fresh air as much as I. WOOT!
Hope to see many of you this weekend!
love and miss you all!!!

odds 'n ends

OK, so this is my third post in one night. there's gotta be an award for that. But i guess i've had some catching up to do as usual. I just wanted to pass on the results from my manicure/pedicure online course i took. I did indeed pass with a flying A- . Not really sure what i'm gonna use it for but i guess its still a step to success, you never know. Anywho, its been a long time since i've seen any A's so i'm proud .
On a less positive note, today was my first time getting writen up at work. My till didn't balance last night with a missing $160. With no explanation for the whereabouts of that cash its a mystery to me. On the bright side, in 60 days it'll be off my record. hurray for clean slates.

Well my butt is now numb. i'm outtie!

snow, sibblings, and significant others

This past weekend i had the priviledge of enjoying the company of my beloved brother Brian and his lovely girlfriend Jenn. On friday night, after a long day of work, i came home to a warm house filled with friends, family, and beer. We had a goodtime just laughing, poking fun at Adam (sorry Adam), and good conversation. Again on Saturday, after another working day, i came home to a fabulous Thai dinner prepared by Brian and my mother. I'm sure Brian would be happy to fill you in on those details and his should-be-famous peanut sauce (mmm, so good). We then spent the evening watching Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring.
With the amount of freshly fallen snow we'd received recently, it was decided that our trip to Grand Rapids would be postponed. I was looking forward to eating at the Real Food Cafe and visiting Stephiepoo. C'est la vie. Hopefully we'll be able to work something out in the near future.
Our Sunday activities were supplemented by attending church with the mom and tobogganing in the afternoon. With our combined extra snow gear, we were sufficently equipped to clothes those among our group who were in need. Although it was a little weird seeing Adam looking like my mom. After a quick detour to pick up crazy carpets at Home Hardware, we headed to Sarnia's hot toboggan spot, the Dow Hill.

awwwww, how cute is that... ??

so yes, it was an excellent weekend and i hope the 2 of 'em come visit more often.
the end.

FS Christmas Party

The anual Future Shop Christmas Party was help on January 10th of this year. It was a formal event and the employee attendance was better than expected. Even a handful of seasonal layoff employees made an appearance. It's goodtimes to be able to hangout, play pool, and have a couple drinks with your co-workers. Seeing everyone out of uniform is a nice change also. Winning a $25 gift card was an added bonus.
I don't like writing so here is a picture of me and my date, Sean...
