House Hunting!

After having plans to build our own house, Jared and I decided to take the cheaper route and just buy a place. After spending several afternoons looking at condos we couldn't see ourselves in such a confined space, even temporarily, so Our search soon began to include townhouses. However, after seeing the price difference between a higher-end townhouse and an actual house, we opted for the later.

It's been an exciting time, but we may be done with house-hunting for the time being. We were able to come to an agreement on a house we viewed today, and are very excited to have our offer accepted. If all goes well, we'll be home-owners March 2nd!! I'm looking forward to renovating and making our home2be very pretty. It even comes with a hottub.

Move #7

Wow, things have been busy lately. I just finished moving into a room in the basement at Jared's parents place. I started thursday night and pretty much finished getting settled in today. Then I spent a couple hours back at the apartment cleaning, funtimes. It'll only take a couple hours tomorrow and we'll be set for the walk-through on Tuesday night with the landlady. But so far everythings gone very smoothly. We were able to find a place to store all my stuff (some here, some in a friends basement, some lent out). I have a really nice comfy queen-sized bed here (one my feather-bed actually fits on).

The Falk's are a wonderfull family, and I feel very blessed to be welcomed into their home for the next few months. Jared's brother Jamie, and sister Jenn, still live at home. Jenn is another awesome sister and I've enjoyed hanging out with her. It's just a bit of a transition when you have been living on your own for a few years. In a short 5 months I'll be making ANOTHER transition (move #8). But, i'm really looking forward to that one and finally getting settled somewhere more permanently. mmm.

On another note, we've had more success with wedding plans. We had a meeting with a photographer on Thursday afternoon. He was really nice, professional, and I liked his portfolios. We didn't book with him right away. I have to decide which package I like best, and then Jared will work his magic at having the price reduced, haha. So, we'll finalize those plans mid-next week.
I also received word that my dress is on schedule, and confirmed to arrive the beginning of May. I really hope there are no complications with that. I have heard too many horror stories. Finally, my wedding band is completed already, and dazzling as ever! It's a lot of 'bling' for one finger!

I'm Getting Married!!

On December 25th 2006, Jared asked me to marry him. I said YESSS!!
The ring is sooo beautiful!!
so...
The date is set for June 30th 2007.
The ceremony and reception will be held in Abbotsford, BC.

A Railroad Media Christmas

On 9 Dec 2006, RailroadMedia held its first annual Christmas Party. The evening began by riding to our destination in style by way of an Excursion limo. The hour drive to Vancouver was a great time for everyone to just relax and have a few good laughs. We had dinner reservations at the Five Sails restaurant in the Pan Pacific Hotel. The meal was absolutely breath-takingly delicious highlighted by a stunning view of the harbour. My meal consisted of:

Atlantic Lobster Cappuccino with fresh lobster ravioli, tobika caviar garnish.
E.
Roast Rack of Lamb with a Melange of Spices cippoline onion & roasted galic fondue, glazed bell peppers, artichoke & tomato.
